Yes, Bristol Ferry Lighthouse has been sold. It sold in September 2022 for $805,000. Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty had listed it in August 2022 at $750,000. It is a private home at the foot of the Mount Hope Bridge in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Bristol Ferry sold for $805,000, which is 7 percent over the $750,000 asking price. Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty listed it in August 2022, and it sold that September.
Bristol Ferry Lighthouse stands on Bristol Point, the northern land point of Mount Hope Bay, at the base of the Mount Hope Bridge. It is on shore and reachable by road.
A two-story square brick tower with an attached one-and-a-half-story brick keeper's house, built in 1855. The light was discontinued in 1927 when the Mount Hope Bridge opened. An automated beacon across Ferry Road replaced it.
The lighthouse went up in 1855 and stopped working in 1927 when the Mount Hope Bridge replaced the ferry. It joined the National Register in 1988. In August 2022 it listed at $750,000 and sold that September for $805,000.

SourceBristol Ferry shows that road access matters in a private sale. This lighthouse needs no boat, no ladder and no service vessel, and it sold above its ask. Compare that with Hooper Island, a caisson with no dock that sold for $192,000 at a federal auction, and the gap shows what a driveway is worth.
A retired light is often easier to own. The light was retired in 1927 and a beacon was put across the road, so no aid-to-navigation duty comes with the deed. What comes with it instead is National Register status, which limits what a buyer can change on the exterior.
No, you cannot still buy Bristol Ferry, because it has sold and nothing is on offer. Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty listed it. Lighthouse Dream is not the broker. See the lighthouses for sale now.
